It’s going to be a big Friday night for football in the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference with two games having a chance to shake up the conference standings.

DeMatha–who is coming off a bye week–will take on longtime rival Gonzaga at home, while St. John’s will try to stay undefeated against Good Counsel on primetime television.

The Cadets’ game against Good Counsel is arguably the biggest game out of the two, but not because it’s being featured on ESPN2. St. John’s and Good Counsel are ranked the top two teams in the area by the Washington Post. Nationally, St. John’s is ranked fifth and Good Counsel is No. 21 in the nation.

St. John’s is coming off a 42-0 conference opening victory against Bishop McNamara on Oct. 6. Good Counsel defeated Gonzaga 38-31 last week on the road. Falcons’ running back Sy’Veon Wilkerson ran for 262 yards and a touchdown.

Here is everything you need to know to get you ready for one of the biggest games of the season.
