Three-star guard Jahmir Young commits to Charlotte

Three-star guard Jahmir Young announced his commitment to the University of Charlotte  on Friday evening.

Young is rated a three-star guard and ranked the fourth best player in Maryland from 247sports. Young picked Charlotte over Hofstra, Old Dominion, La Salle and Old Dominion.

Young helped DeMatha wins its 40th Washington Catholic Athletic Conference championship during the 2017-18 season. Young averaged 11.7 points per game.

Young played with Team Takeover 17u in the Nike EYBL circuit. Young averaged 6.2 points per game with Takeover, who won the Peach Jam title.

Young is a pass-first guard with solid defensive skills and can shoot the ball.
