Longshot: Michael Porter Jr., F, Missouri
There’s been a lot of questions surrounding Porter, who missed the majority of his freshman season due to back surgery and canceled his second pre-draft workout due to muscle spasms. However, teams are not questioning his potential. Porter was considered a top pick in the draft before he suffered a back injury.
He is most likely going to be a top 10 pick and go to either the Cavaliers, Bulls or New York Knicks. The Sacramento Kings are even considering selecting the former McDonald’s All-American with the second pick.
But let’s say we were living in some magical world where Porter drops to the 15th pick. The Wizards definitely should consider picking up Porter. Standing a 6-foot-10, Porter is capable of playing both forward positions. He can score at all three levels and has tremendous star potential.
