The Pennsylvania native intends to play in the spring for VMI before heading to Maryland.

Udinski, who was named the Southern Conference Preseason Offensive Player of the Year, has recorded 6,790 passing yards, 41 touchdowns and 25 interceptions through three seasons. The 6-foot-4 signal caller broke his own VMI single season passing record last season, as he threw for 3,276 yards and 19 touchdowns, which was the second most in school history.

In 2018, Udinski became the first quarterback in VMI history to surpass the 3,000 yard threshold. Udinski also set the school’s single game record in passing yards that season when he threw for 491 yards in a loss to Western Carolina.

After quarterback Lance LeGendre decided to transfer to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, the Terps were in need of another scholarship quarterback to go alongside Taulia Tagovailoa. Maryland will head into the 2021 season with Tagovailoa, Udinski and walk-on Eric Najaran as its quarterbacks.
