2018 NBA Draft Preview: Washington Wizards

The Wizards will look to add an athletic big or guard depth in this year's draft.

Robert Williams, C, Texas A&M

Wall said the Wizards need an “athletic big” and Williams fits that description. Williams is 6-foot-9 and has a 7-foot-5 wingspan. Williams size allows him to be a solid rim protector. He averaged close to three blocks per game during his two years with the Aggies. Williams is a high-level rebounder and there is still room for improvement on the offensive end.

Williams was considered a top 10 pick after his freshman season, but he decided to stay another year in school. Williams’ stock dropped a little, but he still has the potential to be an effective big man in the league. Williams’ athleticism and shot blocking abilities is compared to Houston Rockets’ Clint Capela and Los Angeles Clippers’ DeAndre Jordan.
