
The Elizabeth Seton Roadrunners lost to Washington Catholic Athletic Conference powerhouse Good Counsel, 70-55 to extend its losing streak to three games.
Good Counsel (4-2) was in control for the entire game. Falcon’s junior guard, Ariana Pulliam scored 13 of the 18 points Good Counsel had in the 1st quarter, she finished the game with a team leading 24 points. The Falcons also had help from senior Nicole Enabosi who scored 13 points.
Seton (1-4) on the other hand, struggled to get anything going. In the first half, the Roadrunners scored 21 points and a dreadful nine points in the second quarter.
Seton picked up the pace in the second half, but it wasn’t good enough. The Roadrunners were led by Nani Carver, who finished the game with 12 points and Adrienne Hagood added 12 points.
One thing that hurt Seton was fouls and turnovers. The Roadrunners committed 12 fouls in the second half and 21 fouls for the entire game.
The Roadrunners’ start to the season is not what they expected, but they hope to see improvements as the season moves along. Seton’s head coach Jonathan Scruggs said.
