DeMatha falls to Georgetown Prep, 76-69 in BSN Summer League finale


Georgetown Prep came into the BSN Summer League playoffs as the No. 12 seed while DeMatha sat at the No. 2 seed. Despite being underdogs, the Hoyas was able to walk away with the title as they beat the Stags, 76-69 on July 3.

Kamdyn Curfman led Georgetown with 22 points. Ike Nweke posted a double-double, 18 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Jared Bynum tallied seven points, six rebounds and 10 assists. Dejean Desire registered 10 points and seven rebounds.

D.J. Harvey was DeMatha’s top performer with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Rising sophomore Marvin Price had 15 points. Guard Ryan Allen chipped in 16 points and center Josh Carlton scored eight points and collected eight rebounds.
