
Hargrave Military Academy small forward Antwan Walker became the second player in Georgetown’s 2017 recruiting class when he committed on Tuesday morning.
Walker’s decision came days after the Hoyas picked up four-star point guard Tremont Waters.
Walker is rated a three-star by 247sports and a four-star by ESPN. He is ranked the No. 12 player in Washington, D.C. and the No. 35 small forward in the nation by 247sports.
Prior to Walker’s commitment, he cut his list of schools down to Georgetown and Virginia Tech. Cincinnati, DePaul, Georgia Tech, NC State, and Saint Louis were among a few other schools that offered the two-time DCIAA Player of the Year.
Last season, Walker averaged 16.5 points per game, 13 rebounds per game, and five blocks per game for H.D. Woodson, who went 33-0 and won the DCIAA Championship.
Walker is describe as a strong and athletic forward that runs well in transition. He is also known for possessing a high-motor and can cover the floor really well.
