Senior Bishop McNamara guard Jamir Moultrie committed to the University of La Salle on Friday.
Moultrie picked La Salle over Georgia, Georgetown, Monmouth, Butler, West Virginia and others. His commitment came after he took visits to Georgetown, and Georgia earlier this month. Moultrie is rated a three-star and ranked the No. 5 player in the state of Maryland by 247sports.
Over the past two seasons, Moultrie has been one of the top point guards in the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference and in the area. He averaged 18.3 points per game, and led the Mustangs to a 17-13 record last year.
He also played a big role in McNamara reaching the semifinals of the WCAC playoffs. Moultrie has shown his ability to shoot from deep as he tallied 66 three-pointers.
