Alabama received it’s first five-star commitment since 2008, when point guard Collin Sexton pledged on Thursday.

Sexton, who is ranked the No. 2 player in Georgia by 247sports, picked the Crimson Tide over Kansas, NC State, Arizona and other top Division I programs. He is coming off a breakout summer, where he went from being unranked to one of the top players in the 2017 class.

Sexton led Team CP3, and the entire Nike EYBL in scoring with 31.7 points per game. During Team USA U17 gold medal run, Sexton averaged 17 points, four rebounds and four assist per game.

The Pebblebrook HS senior is a good athlete that is quick and explosive. He has solid ball handling skills and can finish around the basket.

Sexton is projected to be the No. 7 pick the 2018 NBA Draft.
