St. Mary’s Ryken defeated HD Woodson 68-61 on Saturday. It was Woodson’s first loss since March 10, 2015.
Ryken’s Wynston Tabbs finished with 16 points after scoring 15 in the fourth quarter. Chris Greene registered 14 points, while Jahmir Young, and Mekhi Long scored 11 points.
Four-star guard Kiyon Boyd led the way for HD Woodson with 19 points. Derquan Washington chipped in 15 points and Yancey Bynum had 14 points.
This is a big win for Ryken as Woodson went 33-0, won its conference and the DCSAA title last season.
