St. John’s senior offensive tackle Calvin Ashley was named first-team All-USA by USA Today on Thursday.

The Auburn commit is one of the top offensive linemen in the nation as he is rated a five-star, ranked the No. 6 offensive tackle and the No. 30 recruit in the nation by 247sports.

Ashley was named first-team All Met by the Washington Post and helped St. John’s to a 8-4 record. Ashley was named an Under Armour All-American as well.

Barton Simmons, 247sports National Director of Scouting, believes the 6-foot-6, 320-pound lineman has a bright future ahead of him.

“If he stays healthy, and stays focused at the next level he’s going to be an NFL player and a high draft pick,” Simmons told 247sports.
