Markelle Fultz highlights Wooden Award Midseason Top 25

Washington guard Markelle Fultz is one of seven freshmen to be  named to the Wooden Award Midseason Top 25.

Fultz has lived up to all of the hype despite his team struggling. The former DeMatha standout is averaging 21 points, five rebounds and six assists per game.

Fultz scored 30 or more points during the first two games of the season and registered a double-double twice.

Maryland’s Melo Trimble and Villanova’s Josh Hart are other players from the area to make the list.

Lonzo Ball (UCLA), T.J. Leaf (UCLA), Josh Jackson (Kansas), Malik Monk (Kentucky), De’Aaron Fox (Kentucky) and Lauri Markkanen (Arizona) are the freshmen, who are being considered for the Wooden Award.
