Point guard Aaron Thompson made his mark in Paul VI basketball history when he became the school’s all-time winningest player on Wednesday.
Thompson, who received first team All-WCAC honors, earned his 98th career win after the Panthers beat Episcopal, 83-55 in the quarterfinals of the VISAA State Tournament.
The Pittsburgh signee also is the first player in the program’s history to record 800 points, 400 assists, 300 rebounds and 200 steals.
There is no question that Thompson will join Patrick Holloway, Franklin Howard, V.J. King, and other great players that played for Paul VI over the years.
Thompson will seek to help Paul VI win the VISAA Semifinals on Friday to move on to the state championship game, which will take place on Saturday.
