John Carroll junior guard Immanuel Quickley has removed the University of Washington from his list of schools on Monday.
Quickley’s decision came after the Huskies fired head coach Lorenzo Romar, who guided Washington to a disappointing 9-22 record this season. The five-star guard said on Twitter that the coaching change was the reason he backed away from the PAC-12 school.
Quickley is not the only one that is considering not going to Washington after the firing of Romar. Four-star power forward Jontay Porter, the brother of Michael Porter Jr., Â decommitted from Washington on Mar. 17. There is also speculation on whether Michael will do the same thing.
With Washington out of the picture, Quickley will shift his focus to Maryland, Duke, Kentucky, Kansas, Miami, Providence and Virginia.
