Four-star point guard Tremont Waters is officially off the market as he signed with LSU on Monday, according to Scout.
“Multiple reasons,” Ed Waters, Tremont’s father, told Scout. “Lengthy conversations with the coach and looking into the SEC. We have network where our wife and I can catch every game if we want to on our network.”
Waters originally signed with Georgetown during the early signing period back in November but, requested a release from the Big East school after the firing of John Thompson III.
Waters decision came after he took an official visit to LSU on May 31. Waters held offers from basketball powerhouses such as Duke, Kentucky and Kansas.
Waters is ranked the No. 41 player and the No. 10 point guard in the nation by 247sports.
Standing at 5-foot-11, Waters is a quick guard with impressive ball handling skills, which gives him the ability to attack the basket.
