The high school basketball season is officially here, which means multiple teams in the Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia area will be traveling around the nation to compete in tournaments, featuring some of the top teams and players.
Here is a breakdown of high school boys basketball tournaments that will feature teams from the DMV.
Charm City Challenge (UMBC)- Dec. 2

National Hoopfest (DeMatha Catholic High School)- Dec. 9-10
Teams: Friendship Tech, Eleanor Roosevelt, Perry Hall, Bishop McNamara, Georgetown Prep, Paul VI, DeMatha and Mt. Saint Joseph
Chick-Fil-A Classic (Columbus, S.C.) Dec. 20-23
Teams: Paul VI
Beach Ball Classic (Myrtle Beach, Fla.)- Dec. 26-30
Teams: DeMatha
Slam Dunk to the Beach (Lewes, DE)- Dec. 27-29
Teams: Bishop McNamara, Eleanor Roosevelt, John Carroll, Gonzaga, Sidwell Friends, Saint James and St. John’s
Cancer Research Classic (Wheeling, WV)- Jan. 5-6
Teams: DeMatha and Gonzaga
Spalding Hoophall Classic (Springfield, MA)- Jan. 11-15
