“I picked Marquette because when I went on my visit I liked it, I loved it,” Lewis told 247sports.com. “At first I was second guessing it, as far as distance, because it was far in Milwaukee, but after I went on the visit I had fun. I got to know the guys a little bit, see how the program is, and it changed my whole mindset about the place.”
Lewis picked Marquette over Maryland, Georgetown, Texas Tech, Seton Hall, St. John’s and others. Lewis, a four-star, is ranked the 10th best power forward and the 74th overall recruit in the 2020 class, according to 247sports.com.
Lewis has had a big rep since he was younger but has made significant strides with his game and body in the last year. Long, rugged, high-volume rebounder, with developing inside-out skill.

Lewis averaged 17.3 points and nine rebounds per game for Poly during the 2018-19 season. Lewis was a dominant force during the Nike EYBL circuit, as he averaged 18.3 points and 9.4 rebounds per game.
“I can see myself building and keep getting better at Marquette,” Lewis said. “Everything coach [Steve] Wojciechowski says, I believe in him, he can develop my game, and I just think I can be successful there.”
