Gonzaga quarterback Caleb Williams announced Monday afternoon that Maryland, LSU, Oklahoma, Clemson and Penn State were his top five schools.
Williams is rated a five-star and ranked the top quarterback and fifth best overall player in the 2021 recruiting class by 247Sports. The junior standout received First Team All-Met honors from the Washington Post for the second straight season.
Williams was the driving force for the Purple Eagles’ offense, as he threw for 1,770 yards and 19 touchdowns while rushing for 838 yards and 18 touchdowns.
Williams is a player that’s regarded as a potential first round draft pick in the future. He has a strong arm and can move around the pocket with ease. Williams announced in January that he will play in the 2021 All-American Bowl.
