
DeMatha rising senior DJ Harvey has cut his list of schools down to nine, according to ESPN’s Paul Biancardi.
The five-star shooting guard is the ranked the No. 1 in Maryland, the No. 3 shooting guard in the country and the No. 17 player overall by 247sports. Back in January, Harvey had interest in 16 schools. He already took visits to Texas, Villanova, Maryland and Duke. In fact, Harvey took two unofficial visits to College Park per 247sports.
Arizona didn’t make the cut despite having a 73 percent chance of landing Harvey, according to the 247sports Crystal Ball Predictions. Other notable schools that didn’t make Harvey’s list includes Alabama, NC State, Georgetown and North Carolina.
Harvey is currently playing for 17u Team Takeover in the 2016 Nike EYBL. He is averaging 10.9 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game.
