St. John’s College High School guard Aisha Sheppard announced that she has cut her list of schools down to five. The schools that made her list was Virginia Tech, Virginia, Syracuse, Louisville and Dayton.

Sheppard is rated a four-star guard, and ranked the No. 49 player in the 2017 class by ESPN. She averaged 14.1 points per game, which was second best on her team during the 2015-16 season. Sheppard tallied 20 or more points in six games. Below is an evaluation of Sheppard by ESPN.

“Combo-guard with explosive one-step attack elevates in mid-range game; draws contact in lane, finishes to rim; tough to contain off the dribble.”

Sheppard helped the Cadets to a 26-7 record and runner-up for the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference title. St. John’s did manage to win the DCSAA championship by defeating Georgetown Visitation, 59-47 on Mar. 6. Sheppard registered 22 points in the victory.

Sheppard also received first team All-WCAC and second team All-State honors.
