ITLR Boy’s Basketball Top 25: 11-19

11. Brandon Slater, Paul VI: Standing a 6-foot-6, Paul VI’s Brandon Slater has the height to play both forward positions even though he is listed a shooting guard. Slater is rated a four-star and ranked the No. 7 shooting guard in the 2018 class.

Slater averaged 8.6 points per game for the Panthers, who went 20-14 last season. He has offers from Maryland, Louisville, Virginia, Miami, Virginia Tech, Temple and West Virginia. Slater has the potential to become one of the top players in the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference.

12. Aaron Thompson, Paul VI: The Pittsburgh signee Aaron Thompson is a point guard that can make plays on offense and defense. The four-star prospect can score the ball, but he is even better at creating for his teammates and racking up steals on defense.

13. Antwan Walker, Hargrave Military Academy: Two-time DCIAA Player of the Year Antwan Walker put up crazy numbers for the undefeated H.D. Woodson last year. The three-star Georgetown signee averaged 16 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks per game. Walker has totaled 52 points, and 23 rebounds in his first two games with Hargrave.

14. Jamir Moultrie, Bishop McNamara: McNamara senior guard Jamir Moultrie has been one of the top scorers in the WCAC for the past two years. The La Salle commit averaged 18 points per game and was named First Team All-WCAC for the second time in his high school career. Moultrie is a solid three-point shooter, which causes problems for opponents.

15. Myles Douglas, Paul VI:  Four-star small forward Myles Douglas is another player that will help make Paul VI a contender in the WCAC this season. The UCF commit has good size for his position and can put the ball into the basket. With players like V.J. King, and Corey Manigault in college, the Panthers will look for Douglas, Slater and Thompson to play a big role.

16. Josh Carlton, DeMatha: Stags senior big man Josh Carlton is a three-star center, who was a solid defender for DeMatha last season. Carlton decided to commit to UConn over Clemson, Xavier, Penn State, East Carolina and Old Dominion.

17. Eddie Scott, Gonzaga: Gonzaga senior Eddie Scott is one of many key returning players on the Purple Eagles roster. The three-star University of Penn signee averaged 9.6 points per game last season and played for Team Takeover in the Nike EYBL circuit.

18. Jelani Williams, Sidwell Friends: Senior guard Jelani Williams had a solid junior season, averaging 16 points, six rebounds and five assists per game. He is set to join his Team Takeover teammate Eddie Scott at Penn.

19. Myles Dread, Penn State: Three-star guard/forward Myles Dread averaged close to 10 points per game and knocked down 39 three-pointers for Gonzaga last year. Dread is a strong player that has the potential to become a solid three-point shooter.
