ITLR Boy’s Basketball Top 25: No. 6 Naji Marshall

Player: Naji Marshall

School: Hargrave Military Academy

Class: 2017

Position: Small Forward

Recruiting Status: Signed with Xavier

Four-star Xavier signee Naji Marshall is the No. 85 player in the ESPN Top 100 for the 2017 recruiting class. Last season, he averaged  18 points, seven rebounds, and four assist per game to help Eleanor Roosevelt win the Maryland 4A State Championship.

Marshall was the conference Player of the Year and received First Team All-Met honors. He led DC Premier 17u team in scoring over the summer with 15 points per game.

“Naji Marshall is a throwback to that point-forward, versatile swingman of years past. He can do a little bit of everything and do it a very high level,” Xavier head coach Chris Mack said in a press release. “I love his ability to pass, to see the play develop. As coaches we are continually teaching but I’ve always believed it’s difficult to teach a player a true feel for the game. Naji has that feel for the game. He rebounds, he scores and he loves to defend. But most of all, Naji plays to win.”
