Chris Lykes has been one of the top scorers in the area during his varsity basketball career.

Lykes averaged 22 points per game last season and he tallied 30 or more points six games. He shot 47 percent from behind the arc and 75 percent from the free throw line. The Miami signee is ranked the top player in Washington, D.C.  and the No. 15 point guard in the country by 247sports.

Lykes registered 19.9 points per game for 17u Team Takeover in the Nike EYBL. What makes him special is that Lykes can score the ball from anymore on the court and at a high level.

“At 5-7, the closest thing right now that I can compare him to is Isaiah Thomas of the Boston Celtics,” Miami head coach Jim Larrañaga in a press release. “He’s fast, he’s quick, he jumps, he shoots, he handles, he passes, he’s a high energy guy. He smiles all the time and he’s really great fun to be around and play with. Everybody that plays with him tells me how much fun they have playing basketball with him.”
