“I chose Maryland for a variety of reasons. They are really close to home so my family can come and see me whenever,” Wardlow said in the Recruiting Digest. “I can really sense the change in the program and the coaches really made it feel like home for me. I love the other guys they have in the class. They are like brothers to me, and I cannot wait to step on the field with them next fall.”
Wardlow is ranked the No. 12 player in Washington, D.C. He picked the Terrapins over Michigan State, Missouri, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Virginia Tech and Boston College.
Wardlow will join teammates Cam Spence and Kasim Hill in College Park next season. His also may have gotten St. John’s offensive lineman Calvin Ashley, who is committed to Auburn, thinking about going to Maryland.
National Signing Day isn’t until February, so anything could happen.
