Temple’s freshman guard Alani Moore was named the American Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week.
Moore received the honor after his 26 point performance in the Owls win over Yale last Thursday. The 2015-16 first-team All Met nailed four three pointers and made 10 free throws, while playing a career-high 37 minutes. It was the second time this season Moore scored in double figures.
The former DeMatha, Montrose Christian, and Friendship Collegiate guard is averaging 9.4 points per game. Moore shots 2.0 three point field goals per game, which is ninth in the conference.
Moore will be back in action when Temple takes on No. 23 Cincinnati on Wednesday.
