
Maryland made a jump from No. 25 to No. 22 in the latest Men’s Basketball Associated Press Poll and No. 23 in the ESPN rankings.
The Terrapins (17-2, 5-1 in the Big Ten) is coming off a big conference win over Iowa on Jan. 19. Melo Trimble finished with 20 points, five rebounds, and five assists. Freshman Anthony Cowan tallied 15 points and six assists. Justin Jackson registered 12 points, nine rebounds and collected six steals.
Maryland’s victory over the Hawkeyes marked the team’s fourth straight win. The Terps currently sit in first place in the Big Ten. They will be back in action on Tuesday when Rutgers rolls into College Park.
