DeMatha senior running back Khory Spruill committed to the University of Delaware on Sunday.
Spruill picked the Blue Hens over Albany, Morgan State, Rhode Island, Temple, East Carolina and Wofford.
Spruill was sidelined during his junior year when he suffered a major injury. He returned for his senior season where he played a big role in the Stags offense since four-star running back Anthony McFarland was out with an injury.
Spruill rushed for 868 yards, and eight touchdowns to help DeMatha claim its fourth Washington Catholic Athletic Conference title. He ran for 136 yards and made three trips to the end zone in DeMatha’s win over McDonogh. That was one of four games where he rushed for over 100 yards.
