
D.J. Durkin and the rest of Maryland’s football coaching staff have stressed the importance of recruiting if they want to be able to compete in the Big Ten. The Terps’ have worked tirelessly to bring in players with the capability of making Maryland a contender in a conference that features Ohio State, Penn State and Michigan.
Below are some statistics of Maryland recruiting since 2014, the time when the school joined the Big Ten conference. Most of the numbers were recorded before Durkin became Maryland’s head coach in 2016.
