Three-star running back Jordan Houston verbally committed to Maryland on Monday. Houston, the Flint Hill High School product, is the Terps’ second commit in two days.

Houston is ranked the 18th best player in Virginia and the eighth best all-purpose running back in the nation. Houston picked Maryland over offers from Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State, Virginia Tech and others.
Houston is coming off a 2017 season where he was named Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association’s Division I Player of the Year and received first-team All-Met honors from the Washington Post.
Houston tallied 1,971 rushing yards and 25 touchdowns on 165 carries. Houston also had 342 receiving yards and four touchdowns on 10 receptions.
