Terps’ guard Anthony Cowan Jr. name to Big Ten All-Preseason Team

Maryland junior guard Anthony Cowan Jr. was name to the 2018-19 Big Ten All-Preseason team on Thursday.

Cowan was on of Maryland’s go-to scorers and playmakers during his sophomore season, averaging 15.8 points, 4.4 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game. Cowan, a former St. John’s College High School standout, shot 36 percent from the three-point line and 42 percent from the floor.

Romeo Langford (Indiana), James Palmer (Nebraska), Ethan Happ (Wisconsin) and Carsen Edwards (Purdue) are among the players that joined Cowan on the All-Preseason team.

Edwards was named conference Preseason Player of the Year and Langford is the only freshmen to appear.
