
Bishop McNamara senior Jakia Brown-Turner and Paul VI senior Ashley Owusu were named McDonald’s All-American on Thursday.
This will be the second straight season a Paul VI player played in the McDonald’s All-American game. Last season, forward Amira Collins played in the historic game.
Turner, a N.C. State, is one of the reasons why McNamara is ranked the best team in the nation. Turner is averaging 16.2 points per game. Turner is rated a five-star and ranked the 17th best player in the nation by ESPN.
Owusu has been one of the top players in the country since her freshman season. The Maryland commit is rated a five-star and ranked the fifth best player in the country by ESPN.
The McDonald’s All-American game will take place on March 27.
