Four-star linebacker Greg Penn III committed to LSU over Maryland on Sunday.
Penn is ranked the ninth best outside linebacker in the nation and the tenth best prospect player in Maryland. The DeMatha standout held offers from South Carolina, Alabama, Florida, Michigan, Ohio State and others.
Penn narrowed his list down to LSU and Maryland before choosing the Tigers. LSU has the fifth best recruiting class in 2021. Despite missing out on Penn and five-star quarterback Caleb Williams, Maryland’s recruiting is ranked 18th in the nation.
