Maryland’s football team released its revised schedule for the 2020 season on Wednesday morning.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Big Ten shifted its plans by making fall sports teams have a conference-only schedule for the upcoming season.
Maryland will play in a 10-game schedule that features Big Ten opponents. The Terps will open up the season with a road matchup against Iowa on Sept. 5. Maryland will return to College Park for two straight home games against Michigan State and Rutgers.
Maryland will travel to Evanston, Ill. on Sept. 26 to face Northwestern. The Terps’ matchup against Northwestern will be the first time they played the Wildcats on the road since joining the Big Ten.

Maryland will welcome Wisconsin to Capital One Field on Oct. 3 before going on its first of two bye weeks. The multiple bye weeks provide Big Ten teams a chance to make up any missed games that may occur during the season.
The Terps will go on the road for two straight games against Penn State and Indiana. Maryland faces Ohio State on Oct. 31 then travel to Ann Arbor for its final road game of the season against Michigan on Nov. 7.
The Terps will have its second bye week before closing out the season at home against Minnesota on Nov. 21. Maryland plans to start the season without fans in attendance.
The Big Ten conference championship is slated for Dec. 5 in Indianapolis, but it can be moved back as late as Dec. 19.
Maryland is scheduled to start preseason activities on Aug. 7. This will be the first time the Terps held an organized team practice since 2019.
