Good Counsel running back Mohamed Ibrahim committed to the University of Minnesota on Sunday evening.

“Having Coach Fleck there and the relationship we have we’re going to keep building on it,” Ibrahim told CBS Sports. “I feel like he’s a player’s person. I connected to him as soon as we started talking. That was a big thing having that family environment.”

Ibrahim is rated a three-star and ranked the No. 39 running back in the nation by 247sports. Prior to his commitment, he held offers from Kentucky, Iowa, Temple, and Towson.

Ibrahim rushed for 1,313 yards and 16 touchdowns on 206 attempts, while helping Good Counsel to a 6-5 record. He is the ninth commit in the Gophers 2017 recruiting class.
